Informations supplémentaires:
Black and white live music photograph of Hugh Cornwell performing on guitar and vocals at The Live Rooms in Chester during the Moments of Madness UK tour on 20 November 2022. The image shows the former Stranglers frontman under strong stage lighting, framed against a brick wall with microphone stand, electric guitar, amplifier, drum kit and audience silhouettes visible in the foreground. The monochrome treatment gives the scene a documentary concert photography feel, with high contrast, grain, shadows and spotlighting emphasising the atmosphere of a small UK music venue. Cornwell was a founding member, singer, guitarist and songwriter with The Stranglers, one of the key British bands associated with punk, new wave and post punk, before developing a long solo career. The Chester date formed part of the November 2022 tour supporting the Moments of Madness album, with contemporary listings confirming The Live Rooms show on Sunday 20 November 2022. For stock photography buyers, this image offers strong editorial use around British rock music, veteran performers, independent venues, live gigs after the pandemic period, touring musicians, alternative music culture, nostalgia, punk heritage and regional nightlife. The Live Rooms, close to Chester railway station, is a compact independent venue rather than an arena, so the photograph has an intimate, close-quarters quality, showing the reality of touring life and audience connection rather than polished stadium spectacle. The visible stage equipment, dark clothing, guitar posture and concentrated facial expression all help communicate performance, craft, sound and mood. The picture could support editorial features about Hugh Cornwell, The Stranglers legacy, Moments of Madness, UK concert venues, Chester nightlife, music tourism, ageing rock artists, black and white music photography, grassroots entertainment spaces, and the continuing importance of medium and small venues in sustaining British live music.
