Ogoe which was lost in the Battle of Okinawa of WW2 in 1945 and returned from America in March 2024 is unveiled to media and others at the Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum in Naha City, Okinawa prefecture on April 30, 2024. Of the 22 cultural artifacts returned, four Ogoe, Okinawan portraits of Kings of Ryūkyū, were included. ( The Yomiuri Shimbun via AP Images )
