Informations supplémentaires

Tea grower Kazuaki Matsunaga loads bags of harvested tea leaves onto his truck in the tea plantations of the mountainous districts of Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on Saturday, June 30, 2012. Shizuoka Pref. is the largest tea producing area in Japan, accounting for 40% of total production of Japanese sencha. Sencha is prepared by infusing the processed tea leaves in hot water. This is as opposed to while matcha is a powdered Japanese green tea that is mixed with hot water meaning the leaf itself is a part of the beverage consumed. Photographer: Robert Gilhooly
