Part of a SEQUENCE of lighting an emergency / survival / campfire images following a strict logic... Fire lit on a bed of small branches which prevents start-up heat being absorbed into cold ground and also helps with air flow. Once tinder alight then handfuls of kindling (previously graded from about match thickness to about 1cm thick) are added in stages. To prevent the small fire being smothered each handful of kindling is allowed to 'catch' - but not burn away - before the next handful is added. When enough heat and flames are generated small branches, and then small logs can be added, and eventually thick timber. - 4 other angles of the scene were shot simultaneously... REAR 3/4, FRONT 3/4, SIDE VIEW PORTRAIT, SIDE VIEW L/SCAPE, so a selection will provide you with a varied storyline about firelighting. - REAR 3/4 starts with image 2A6BBXR, FRONT 3/4 with 2A6BX37, SIDE VIEW P/T at 2A6F46R, and SIDE VIEW L/SCAPE with 2A6C4D6. - Images are marked Model Release since model in shot is the photographer, and you are granted use of this image for any purpose provided it is not defamatory, libellous, or hateful communications, publications, or ANY media form. MR status is granted on the assumption that this image will find use in outdoor educational materials mostly.
