Nova Festival Massacre Memorial Site. The Nova Festival of music and dance was held in October 2023 close to the border with Gaza, near Kibbutz Re im in the Israeli Negev. At sunrise on October 7 a large group of Hamas terrorists crossed the border from Gaza and attacked the mostly young people enjoying the festival music and activities, killing approximately 400. This site has been set up as a temporary memorial to all those who lost their lives that morning. The large placard with a map illustrates the location and sections of the festival, and areas of Gaza nearby. Placards with photographs provided by family and friends create the memorial.
