Informations supplémentaires:
This Black Vulture (Coragyps atratus) is perched on a weathered branch beneath a towering sky of cumulus clouds, its dark plumage and wrinkled gray head standing in stark contrast to the bright backdrop. Native to the southeastern United States, Black Vultures are scavengers that feed primarily on carrion, helping to prevent the spread of disease. With keen eyesight and strong social behavior, they often gather in groups and share roosting sites. Though lacking a keen sense of smell, they frequently follow Turkey Vultures to food.
