Informations supplémentaires

This is a view of Victoria Square on Anita Street, Ancoats. Victoria Square on Anita Street in Ancoats is a Victorian model dwelling complex, built in the late 19th century to provide improved housing for the working-class population of one of Manchester's most densely industrialised areas. The symmetrical composition and dramatic sky give this image a strong graphic quality, while the cobbled central path with its moss-grown joints and the iron railings lining the terraces are more clearly visible without rain. The arch inscribed "Victoria Square" is visible at the far end.
