Chinese tattoo artist Li Jiaxuan inks the ankle of a customer in her tattoo studio in Changchun city, northeast China's Jilin province, 18 November 2016. Li Jiaxuan, 23, is a young tattooist and opened her studio in Changchun, northeast China's Jilin province. She developed an interest in the craft first in 2013. She dismissed the negative view of the business, saying "it is as decent a job as any other." She studied graphic design at 16, and then went to Shanghai where she became a pharmaceutical sales representative. Despite a handsome income, Li said she did not like the job. She learnt the craft from an experienced tattooist in Changchun for a month before she opened her own studio. Being a tattooist is not easy. Sometimes, it takes more than 10 hours to complete a large pattern. However, Li said she likes her work. She said each tattoo is a piece of artwork with a unique meaning. She hopes her tattoos can help people express their feelings.
