Kwon Gye-hyun, president of Samsung Electronics China operations, attends the launch event for Samsung Galaxy A8s smartphones in Beijing, China, 10 December 2018. Samsung announced its first Infinity-O Display device officially in China on December 10, dubbed Galaxy A8s. The company will be the first to come up with such a notch-less display that has an in-screen camera beating the likes of Huawei and Lenovo to the punch. The event was live streamed as the whole device and its specifications went official for the first time. The Galaxy A8s had a very tiny 6.7mm hole inside the screen for the front camera. With regards to specifications, the Galaxy A8s has appeared on a number of certification portals like the FFC and the WFA, and most recently TENAA, which has led to a massive leak of its specifications. TENAA's listing says that the Galaxy A8s will be dominated by a 6.39-inch LCD display, with a screen resolution of 2340Á1080 pixels.
