Informations supplémentaires:
The Moulin Rouge – Red Mill – was originally opened in 1889 by Charles Zidler and Joseph Oller, . It burned down in 1915 and was replaced by the current building at 82 Boulevard de Clichy, Pigalle, Paris, France. Most famously it is known as the birthplace of the Dan-Can dance, which introduced as a seductive dance by the ‘courtesans’ who worked at the premises. It has a famous association with many famous artists including Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, who’s poster “La Goulue” (the Glutton) is credited with spreading the popularity of the Moulin Rouge. Marked by the red windmill on the roof at its entrance, the Moulin Rouge remains a centre of entertainment with intricately choreographed and ornately staged cabaret routines in which the famous Bluebell Girls perform during the famous dinner shows, where tourists and others can enjoy a meal served with Champagne.
