The Paris Las Vegas is a luxury hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The hotel contains a 1:2 scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. The facade is modeled so that portions of it resemble the Paris Opera House, The Louvre. There is also a one-third size scale model of the Arc de Triomphe, and a sign that resembles the Montgolfier balloon. The archetecture is notable because the two legs of the Eiffel Tower replica that face the interior of the hotel actually extend through the floors of the building and into the casino inside. Here you can see construction equipment on the roof of the building below the girders of the Eiffel Tower. In 2011, the hotel was remodeled following an overall trend in Las Vegas that de-emphasized themed hotels. In the course of the remodel, the hotel owners removed the Parisian theme from the interior of the hotel and casino. The owners of the hotel market it as a LGBT-friendly travel destination.
