1964 Lancia Flavia Convertible, by Vignale, Old English White with brand new Red St James leather, 1800 engine, four speed gearbox, new black double duck hooding, this numbers matching very rare Cabriolet has been restored to show condition, the body work is gun barrel straight, superb chrome, new tyres, nicely detailed engine bay, my Company has spent in excess of £10, 600 To bring this fab Cabriolet up to my show standard, it has just flown through its Mot, This classic sixty’s Lancia is complemented with a superb Factory Hard Top. The Lancia Flavia is an executive car produced by Lancia in Italy from 1961 to 1971. Production continued as the Lancia 2000 from 1971 to 1975. The Flavia was launched with a 1, 500 cc engine at the 1960 Turin Motor Show by Lancia and introduced in major European markets during the next twelve months. Coupé and convertible versions developed by Pininfarina and Vignale quickly followed, together with one or two low volume "specials" including a Zagato coupé. Performance improved over the next ten years as the engine sizes increased, progressively, to 2, 000 cc. The car remained in production until 1970 when it was updated and renamed the Lancia 2000. The Flavia was named after Via Flavia, Roman road leading from Trieste (Tergeste) to Dalmatia. The Flavia Vignale was designed by Michelotti and built by Italian carrozzeria Vignale on Lancia mechanicals. 1600 copies of this design were produced between 1963 and 1967, mostly in LHD. Two engine sizes were offered 1500 and 1800, both with flat four configuration driving the front wheels. This model is the rarest version of Flavia convertible having the powerful 1800cc with Kuglefisher mechanical fuel injection. Only 43 examples were produced, and only around 5 were made in RHD.This RHD UK supplied car is the only known example that is on the road. The car because of its age (first registered in 1967) is classed as historic so no road tax is payable and it is also excused an annual MOT.
